Announcement Type

Announcement types are the different kinds of information, such as server issues, power outage, policy information, UI launch, that you can send to users across the organization.

SDAdmins and AnnouncementConfig role can configure announcement types.

Adding a new announcement type

Go to Setup>>Customization>>Announcement.
A list of default announcement types, along with their description, is displayed as shown:

Click New Announcement Type.
Fill out the displayed fields using the following pointers and click Save.

Name	Specify a unique name to each announcement type.
Description	Provide a short note describing the announcement type.
