About Credentials Library
Credentials Library houses various scan credentials that the technicians use for monitoring/scanning assets like workstations, servers, printers, etc. Apart from serving as a repository for storing scan credentials, this library allows technicians to configure (as well as edit) new scan credentials as and when required. All scan credentials associated with ServiceDesk Plus Cloud will be stored in this library. Thus all the credentials are stored in a single place and they can be mapped to other networks and assets. When the password expires, the administrator can change that particular credential alone in the credential library once instead of changing it in all networks and assets it is connected to.
Supported Credential Types and Protocols
| Credentials Types | Purpose |
| Windows scan credentials | Scanning Windows, HyperV, SSH and SCCM |
| Linux, Unix Scan Credentials | Scanning Linux, Mac, Solaris, AIX and Unix Workstations/Servers |
| Device Scan Credentials | Scanning devices like printer, router, switch, etc. |
| VMware | Scanning virtual hosts [ESX, ESXi] |
