You can now customize the Dashboard home page according to your requirement. Apart from the canned dashboards, such as Help desk, Asset, Change, Problem, Project, and Software, that are available in the Dashboard home page, you can add new dashboards, add new widgets, organize widgets, and edit/delete widgets.

Adding Dashboard

You can create a new dashboard to display data across the Help Desk, Assets, and Changes modules in one place. You can add widgets of the modules into the dashboard. By adding URL widgets to the dashboard, you can make the organization's intranet and resource pages accessible from the dashboard.

To add a new dashboard,

Private dashboards will be visible only to you and are listed under the My Dashboards category whereas public dashboards will be visible to everyone and are listed under the Canned Dashboard category.

Executive Dashboard

Executive dashboard can be exclusively shared with select users and user groups. Executive dashboards contain only request widgets and URL widgets.

Any existing dashboard can be changed to an executive dashboard.
While changing any dashboard to executive dashboard, the widgets other than requests and URL widgets will be removed.

Executive dashboards will be listed in a separate section under the dashboard drop down. Technicians can view the Executive Dashboard section only if at least one executive dashboard is shared with them.

SDAdmins cannot edit dashboards created by other users. However, they can delete dashboards created by other users if needed.

You can change chart type in widgets by clicking the Chart Type icon.

You can add dashboards to favorites. Click the dashboards drop-down and click on the star icon to add a dashboard to favorites.

Click the  icon on the dashboards drop-down menu to pin your favorite dashboards as quick links on the toolbar. This will be useful for instant navigation between different dashboards. The pinned dashboards are indicated by the favorites icon . You can expand/contract the pinned view by clicking the favorites icon.

The redirection from dashboard to list view is available only for Requests, Problems, Changes, Projects, Assets, Workstations, Contracts, and Releases.
