Unknown OIDs

During a scan, SNMP devices in your network, such as routers, switches, printers, and access points, are identified using OIDs which helps in uniquely distinguishing the devices and their models. If in case the probe is not able to identify the model of a device, then the details of that device along with its OID will be listed under the Unknown OID tab. From there you can map its correct product type and product name. The probe will use the mapped details from the next scan onwards.

You can also add a new OID if you have the OID details of a product.

Use the New OID option to add new OIDs.

Once you have created an OID and mapped it with a product type and name, then the probe will automatically use the mapped OID details from the next scan onwards.
