Accessibility Controls 

Accessibility controls in ServiceDesk Plus Cloud allow you to customize the application to ensure an equitable and inclusive user experience.

To access these controls, go to Profile > Accessibility Controls and enable the necessary controls under the tabs.

Vision 

Increase Contrast: This option increases the contrast of elements on the interface by deepening darker layers to improve visibility and readability.

Reading Mask: Reading mask spotlights the area around the cursor while dimming the rest of the screen, helping users focus on that section.

You can choose a small, medium, or large reading mask and customize its height, width, and opacity.

 

Focus Ring: The focus ring displays a visible marker around the element selected, helping users navigate interactive elements on the page using the keyboard.

 

Enable Focus Ring to use Page Navigator, Skip to Main Content, and Screen Reader.

 

Underline Links: Enable this option to underline all clickable text across the application to differentiate them from regular text.

Display Font Size: Users can customize the point size of the letters in the interface to improve readability. Adjust the slider to increase or decrease the font size. You can revert to default settings at any time.

 

Hearing 

Screen Reader: Ensure compatibility with the computer's screen reader, which converts text to speech. This allows users to navigate the application without relying on visual cues.

 

We recommend enabling Focus Ring to use this feature.

Recommendation:
-  Download NVDA or JAWS screen reader for Windows. 
-  In NVDA settings, uncheck Enable browse mode on page load.  

 

Skip to Main Content: This option allows users to bypass repetitive sections, such as headers and navigation bars, and jump directly to the main content of a page. Use the G+M keys to skip to the main content.

 

Enable Focus Ring to use this feature. 

  

Mobility

Keyboard Shortcuts: Keyboard shortcuts allow users to navigate the application without a mouse. Click Shift + / to view the shortcuts.

 

Page Navigator: Navigate between sections on a page (top menu, navigation menu, main content) using the keyboard.  Click Invoke or press G+P to open the Page Navigator pop-up.

Reduce Motion: Turn off animations in the application to minimize distraction by maintaining a static interface. Select Standard to display animations and Reduced to turn off animations.

Hover Item: This option displays elements that will otherwise be visible only when hovered over.

Emphasize Focus Area: Enable this option to outline interactive elements on the screen with a border to distinguish them from static elements.

 

Click-to-Drag: This option lets users move elements by clicking instead of dragging. Click to grab an item and click again to drop it in the designated area. This helps customize templates and reorder elements in the application easily.

 

Custom Cursor: Modify the cursor size and appearance. Adjust the slider to increase or decrease the size of the cursor and apply a light or dark theme to it.

 

Custom Scrollbar: Enable this option to reduce the scroll bar's width for a more compact design.

Learning 

Highlight Critical Information: This feature highlights important text with bright colors, making key information more noticeable.
