Custom Views

Custom views are used to filter activities based on their status and who it is assigned to. You can specify the criteria and filter activities that have accumulated in your workload to sort & view activities of your priority and requirement.

Click on a Custom View's name to open the Custom View menu. The custom views available will be classified into three sections:

Favorites 

The Custom Views that are marked as favorites by clicking icon beside their name are listed here. You can reorder your favorite custom views using the icon.

Click the icon on the Custom View menu to pin the favorite custom views as quick links on the toolbar. This will be useful for instant navigation between different custom views. The pinned custom views are indicated by the favorites icon . You can expand/contract the pinned view by clicking the favorites icon.

 

 

Public Views

Public views list default custom views along with custom views created by administrators based on organizational purposes.

The following custom views are in-built in the application:

My View

Custom Views that you have created and marked as private will be listed here.

Creating Custom Views 

To create your own custom view:

  1. Click New Custom Viewicon. This opens the Add Custom View page.
  2. Specify the Custom View Name in the given text field. This is a mandatory field.
  3. Specify the filter condition by selecting the Column, Operator, and Criteria. Click the arrow beside the column name to select the sub-fields under that particular field.
  4. Click to add more conditions.
  5. By default, the AND condition is applied. Click AND to change to OR condition.
  6. For SDAdmins, the custom view will be public by default. They can make the custom view private by selecting Make this view as a private custom view. Technicians without administrator privileges can create only private views.
  7. Click Save.

You can temporarily filter requests without saving the criteria by clicking Apply. Unless saved, temporary filters will be dismissed on refreshing the page.

 

 

Editing Custom Views

Users can edit their own private custom views by following the steps mentioned below:

  1. Click theicon beside the Custom View in the Custom View menu.
  2. Edit the details and save the changes.
 You cannot edit default custom views.
 Only SDAdmins can edit public custom views. 

Deleting Custom Views

  1. Click icon next to the Custom View title.

  2. Click Yes to proceed.

 You cannot delete default custom views or private custom views created by other users.
