Adding Service Types

ServiceDesk Plus Cloud comes with an integrated Purchase Management module that allows you to subscribe to and track services among other things. You can predefine services that are frequently availed by your organization from third-parties. Each service needs to be assigned a type to define and track the common qualities easily.
 

To define service types, you need to have the corresponding permissions enabled for your role.

Defining Service Types

  1. Go to Setup >> Customization > Asset Management >> Service Types.
  2. Click Add Service Type.
  3. Provide a name and short description.
  4. Leave the Disable checkbox unselected and click Save.

The service types will be populated on the list view page. You can edit or delete the service types using the  icon beside each service type.

To prevent a service type from further use, you can disable it. You can enable it anytime.
