Adding Software Category


Different groups of software such as software used for Accounting, Internet, Graphics, Multimedia, Operating System and so on are added to ServiceDesk Plus Cloud using this option.

To Add New Software Category:

  1. Go to Setup>> Customization >> Asset Management.

  2. The Software Category tab lists the available software categories. By default, you have nine software categories displayed in ServiceDesk Plus Cloud.    

  3. Click New Software Category. The New Software Category form pops up.

  4. Under Software Category, provide a uique name(mandatory).

  5. Specify any relevant information about the category in the Description field.  

  6. Click Save to add the software category to ServiceDesk Plus Cloud.
