The Assets module allows you to add, view, find, and manage your organization's assets. To access the assets module, go to Menu
, and tap Assets.

You can add physical assets by scanning their barcodes or QR codes.
To add new assets,
Tap ADD ASSET to open the scanning interface.
Choose a scanning option: BARCODE or QR CODE
Scan the barcode or QR code on your assets using the mobile/tablet's camera.
Tap
after scanning required number of assets.
Fill in the Add Assets form:
Product Name: Choose the product name for the scanned assets. You can also create a new product by using the ADD PRODUCT option.
Site: Choose the site for the scanned assets
Location: Provide a location for the scanned assets.
Comments: Add relevant comments if required.
Finally, tap
.

The Add asset status screen shows both successfully added assets and failed assets under the Added Assets and Failed Assets tabs respectively.

You can perform various actions on physical assets such as modifying state or product, assigning site or department, etc by scanning their barcodes or QR codes.
To manage an asset,
Tap MANAGE ASSET to open the scanning interface.
Choose a scanning option: BARCODE or QR CODE
Scan the barcode or QR code on your assets using the mobile/tablet's camera.
Tap
after scanning required number of assets.
If records of the scanned assets already exist, they will be listed under Available Assets. To modify available assets, do the following:
Select those assets using the tap-and-hold action and tap Options
.

Provide required details and confirm the chosen action.

If records of the scanned assets do not exist, they will be listed under Unavailable Assets. Follow the steps below to add these assets to ServiceDesk Plus Cloud:
Tap Add
beside your preferred asset
Fill in the Add asset form:
Name: Provide a product name
Product Type: Choose a relevant product type.
Product name: Choose a relevant product name
Site: Choose a site for the asset.
Finally, tap 

You can search for assets based on barcode, name, product type, product, state, and site.
To search for assets,
Tap Search
.
Set the search filter by tapping Filter
and choose your preferred field.
Use a relevant search term in the search box to fetch results.

To search using a barcode or QR code, tap Scanner
and scan your asset's barcode or QR code.
The Assets module allows you to view, edit all types of assets and asset components. Also, you can raise new requests on assets or view existing requests raised for the assets. To access the asset list view, tap Assets in the Assets module.

The asset list view can be filtered out. To do this, follow the steps below:
Tap the filer drop-down on the top-left.
Select a filtering option: All assets, Component, or Asset.

When using the filter Component and Asset, you can further narrow down by choosing Non-IT or IT sub-classification and then choosing your preferred type.
You can search for assets from the list view by tapping
on the top-right.

To search using a barcode or QR code, tap Scanner
and scan your asset's barcode or QR code.
To view asset details, tap your preferred asset card. The Asset Details screen displays the following information:
Details: This tab shows the complete asset details.
Software: This tab shows information about the software assets installed on the machine (This tab is available only for Workstations and Servers).
Requests: This tab lists all requests raised for the asset.

To edit asset details, tap Edit
, make necessary changes, and tap
.

You can raise a request for an asset directly from the asset details screen. To do this, go to the asset details screen and follow the steps below:
Tap Create Request
on the top-right.
Select a template type: Incident templates or Service category.
Choose your preferred template.
Fill in the request form and tap
.

You can modify assets by performing various actions on them. To do this, follow the steps below:
Select your preferred assets in the list view using the tap-and-hold action.
Tap More Options
.
Choose your action: Assign to department, Assign to site, Modify state, Modify product, or Reconcile.
Provide required details and confirm the chosen action.
