Tasks

Under Tasks, you can create, edit, or manage all tasks from all modules of ServiceDesk Plus Cloud. To access it, go to Menu   and tap Tasks.

 

 

 Filtering Tasks 

To filter out tasks in the list view,

  1. Tap the filter drop-down on the top-left.

  2. Select a filtering option: All Tasks, Due Today Tasks, My All Tasks, My Open Tasks, My Overdue Tasks, Open Tasks, Overdue Tasks, Pending Tasks, Unassigned Pending Tasks, and Pending- My Group Tasks.

 

 

Searching Tasks 

You can search for tasks based on the Title, Owner, and Priority fields in tasks.

To search for tasks,

  1. Tap Searchon the top-right

  2. Set the search filter by tapping Filter  and choose your preferred field.

  3. Use a relevant search term in the search box to fetch results.

 

 

Create a Task

To create a task,

  1. Tap Add Task.

  2. Fill in the task details in the Add Task form.

  3. Finally, tap

 

 
You can view task details and perform various actions on tasks from the task details page. To access it, tap your preferred task card.

 

Attachments 

You can also view/upload attachments to tasks by tapping Attachments. The icon always appears with a badge showing the number of attachments. To add attachments form the Task Details screen, go to Attachments, tap Add attachments, and choose your preferred upload type viz. File, Image, or Camera.

 

 

Edit Task

To edit a task,

  1. Tap Edit.

  2. Make necessary changes to the task.

  3. Finally, tap .

 

 

Task Comments 

 

 

 

 

 Worklogs 

You can view, add, edit, or delete task-related work logs under Worklogs of each task. To access it, go to the task details of your preferred task, and tap Worklogs. Here, you can view the total time logged by all work logs in the task, total cost accrued from all work logs in the task, and the list of all work logs added to the task.

 

 

 View Parent Request 

For request tasks, you can view the parent request to which the task is associated with from the task details screen .

To view parent request,

  1. Go to the tasks details screen of a request task.

  2. Tap View request to access the parent request's details screen.

 

 

 Delete Tasks  

To delete a task,

  1. Go to the task details screen of the task you want to delete.

  2. Tap Delete  and confirm your action.
