Custom Views

You can filter the change requests page based on specific criteria to create your own customized page of change requests. This helps you to sort & view change requests of your priority and requirement.

By default, custom views tabulate Open Changes. You can click the custom view name on the top-left of the page to filter the change requests based on:

• Favorites: Custom views which have been marked as favorite by clicking icon beside their name are listed here. You can reorder your favorite custom views using the icon. You can also pin your favorite custom views as quick links.
• Public Views: Public views lists various types of filters based on change status, approval status, and assigned status.
• My Views: Custom views created by you will be listed here.
• Trashed Requests: This filter lists the deleted change requests. You can restore or delete the change requests permanently from this page.

Pin Favorite Custom Views

Click the icon on the custom view menu to pin the favorite custom views as quick links on the toolbar. This will be useful for instant navigation between different custom views. The pinned custom views are indicated by the Favorites icon . You can expand/contract the pinned view by clicking the favorites icon.

Create Custom Views

1. Under Changes tab, click New Custom Viewicon.

2. Specify the Custom View Name. This is a mandatory field.

3. Specify the filter condition by selecting the column, operator, and value. You can use the arrow beside the column name to select the sub-fields under that particular field.

4. Click icon to add more conditions.

5. By default, the AND condition is applied. Click AND to apply OR condition.

6. For SDAdmins, the custom view will be public by default. They can make the view private by selecting Make this view as a private custom view. Users without administrator privileges can create only private views, hence this option will not be available for them.

7. Click Save.

You can temporarily filter the change requests without saving the criteria by clicking Apply. Unless saved, temporary filters will be dismissed if the page is refreshed.

Edit/Delete Custom Views

1. In the custom view menu, hover over the custom view name.
2. Use the icon to edit the custom view.
3. Use the icon to delete the custom view permanently.
