Change Management - Implementation

After the required approvals are received, the change request moves into the implementation stage, where the actual changes requested are implemented through tasks, work logs, and projects.

In this stage, the change manager will layout the higher-level objectives, break them down into projects, milestones, and tasks, depending on the extent of work involved. For example, if it is a small or a frequent change, the request might be closed with just a single task and even without any approvals. However, when the change request demands detailed planning and extensive resources in terms of time and effort, the implementation stage is extensive.

The required teams are assembled and added into specific tasks and projects, keeping in mind the downtime and other constraints. Detailed tasks, including the estimated time, effort, and costs; technicians/group responsible for; and notifications are added in this stage.

At the end of this stage, the actual request is complete and ready for review by the change reviewers.
