CI Impact Analysis Extension

The CI Impact Analysis extension helps technicians identify affected CIs and the extent of impact across the CI infrastructure.

Benefits

• View CI relationships across multiple levels, from source to destination CI types, in a single view.

• Avoid manually tracing relationships through maps, spreadsheets, or static reports.

Install the Extension

1. Go to Setup > Apps & Add-ons > Extensions.

2. Open the All Extensions tab.

3. Search for Impact Analysis.

4. Click Install.

Alternatively, you can install the extension from ManageEngine Marketplace.

View Affected CIs

After installing the extension,

• Click Impact Analysis on the navigation menu.

• Under Source Section, select the source CI type, then select a CI or define CIs by using conditions.

• Under Destination Section, select the destination CI by CI type or by the number of traversal levels.

• View Section displays the affected CIs. Filter results by relationship direction: In, Out, or Both.
