Request Type is the type of request sent by the requester such as service request or request for any information. ServiceDesk Plus Cloud gives you the provision of configuring your request type other than the default options. This is essential while creating a new request under the request module.
Go to Setup
>> Customization >> Helpdesk.
In the displayed page, click Request Type.
To add a new request type,
Click Add Request Type. This opens the new request type form.
Specify the Name of the request type such as Incident, Request for Information(mandatory).
Enter a brief Description of the type of requests which fall under the category.
Click Save.
From the request type list page, click
>> Edit Request Type beside the request type which you want to edit. This opens the edit request type page.
Modify the changes in Name and Description text field.
Click Save.
In the Request Type list, click
>> Delete beside the request type which you want to delete. A confirmation message pops up.
Click Yes to proceed. The request type gets deleted from the list.
