Contract Renewal

You can renew contracts in any status, including Yet to be ActiveActive, and Expired. While renewing, you can modify the complete contract details, including contract owner, cost, parent/child contract association, support details, notification settings, and more. However, you cannot add or remove assets and software licenses while renewing a contract. You can do so in the new contract created after renewal. The new contract will be created in the name <Original Contract Name> Renewed

To renew a contract,

  1. Go to the contract details page.

  2. Navigate to the Renewals tab.

  3. Click the Renew Contract button.

Alternatively, you can go to Actions >> Renew Contract.

 

 

A new contract form will be opened with all details of the old contract preserved, essentially not the contract period and the parent contract, if any. Specify the contract's active period and modify other details per your requirements. Click Renew. The new contract created will be displayed. Under the Renewals tab of the new contract, you can view the previous (or old) contract. To view the old contract, simply click its name.

 

 

Similarly, you can also view the new contract from the old contract details page.

 


 

You can renew a contract only once.
