Copy Change

Copy change option reduces the need to create templates for occasional changes. Let us take an example of updating firewall exceptions. Since this is not a frequent change, creating a template might be unnecessary. Using the copy change option, you can easily create a new change request by making necessary modifications to the copied change.

Also, you can use this option to re-raise failed/canceled changes. Consider the example of a change request raised to upgrade the web server of an organization. The change request is canceled by the change approver due to an external issue. After resolving the issue, you can invoke the copy change option to recreate the change request with the same set of change details.
