Customize the application's home page to include the necessary service desk information for your requesters, while ensuring an improved end-user experience. Besides adding predefined widgets and custom URL widgets, you can edit the HTML widget present to enhance the home page to reflect your organization's design, logo, color, business glossary, and the like and achieve full-page customization.
The requester home page comprises the following elements, which you can employ per your requirements:

The customization consists of 2 main parts—editing the HTML widget and adding predefined and custom widgets.
The HTML widget comes in 2 formats—canned widget and banner, both having the same functionalities and customizations but in a different look and feel. The banner will be present by default on the upper half of the page. If you need an alternative to the banner, you can add the canned HTML widget manually and remove the banner.
To modify the HTML widget, be it banner or canned widget, click the Edit icon displayed on the top right corner of the widget.
Choose your preferred view between code view and split view on the top left corner of the page.
Under Select Template, you can choose from a variety of templates with complex designs. The templates are packaged in different themes to apply to various service desk instances. By editing the HTML widget, you can further tweak these highly customized templates to meet your organization's needs.
Customize the HTML widget by using the HTML editor. You can achieve full-page customization by using the given attributes, canned widgets, and URL widgets.
Attributes allow you to provide a robust search and standard help desk actions for requesters such as logging service and incident requests and viewing solutions, requests, changes, and projects. The available attributes are as follows.

Under Canned Widgets and URL Widgets, you have variables that can be used to render various widgets as part of the HTML widget.
You can also add custom images to the requester portal. To do this, click Gallery and then click your preferred image to copy its background style CSS code. Paste the code into the HTML editor where required. To learn more about the Gallery, click here.
You can preview the changes by using the Preview button on the top left corner of the page.
Click Save and Publish Changes after you make the necessary modifications in the HTML widget.
To remove the HTML widget in the banner format, disable the Show Default HTML Widget as a Banner option under Preferences.

The Gallery option allows you to use custom images by uploading them directly to the application. These images can be used as requester portal's background images or icons. You can access the gallery by clicking Gallery on the top-right.
To upload an image, access the Gallery, click Upload Image, and choose your preferred image.

To use an image from the gallery, click the image to copy its background style CSS code and use the code in the HTML editor where required.

To remove an image, hover over the image, and click the remove icon.

The home page comes with some predefined widgets, displayed on the lower half of the page. To provide additional predefined widgets or new custom URL widgets, click Manage Widgets.
On this panel, you will have canned widgets for the default HTML widget, frequently used service templates, announcements, requester's assets, requester's consumables, and requester's request and task summary. An alternative to the canned HTML widget is the banner displayed on the upper half of the page. Both formats come with the same functionalities and customizations but in different look and feel. 3. Using the New URL Widget button, you can define custom URL widgets to allow access to third-party services.
4. Once you have selected the required widgets, choose their orientation, and then click Update Layout.
5. After the widgets are updated on the home page customization page, you can resize the widgets by using the icon displayed at the bottom right corner of the widget.
6. You can also move the widgets around the page; position the Move pointer on a widget, click, hold, and drag the widget to the right position.
7. To remove a widget from the home page, click the Close button displayed at the top right corner of the widget.
Under Preferences on the upper half of the page, you can choose whether to display the following components in the requester home page:
HTML widget in the banner format
Header and navigation menu
Footer
After making all the required customizations, click Save and Publish Changes displayed on the upper half of the page.
Use the Preview button displayed under Requester Portal Customization for a workable preview of the home page. The preview comes with your service desk data organized in the customized user flow and design of the requester home page. Interact with the preview to get a feel for your requester home page.
