Details Page Layout Customization

Customize the request details page to display the most important information in the order you prefer. Use the drag-and-drop interface to reorder tabs, sections, and fields.

You can configure different layouts for technicians and requesters. After customization, the new layout is applied immediately to all requests.

Customize Layout

• Go to Setup > Layouts > Details Page Layout.
• Click Customize on the required card. You are directed to the corresponding layout customization page.
• Customize the following areas: Tab Order, Details Order, and Right Pane Order.
• Reorder tabs, sections, and fields by dragging them to the required location.
• In the Tab Order section, group less-used tabs by dragging them under More.
• Manage request properties in the right pane.
  • Click beside Properties.
  • Default and additional fields from all request templates will be displayed.
  • Add or remove the required fields.
  • Click Apply.
  • Reorder the fields by dragging them to the desired position.
• Hide the tabs, sections, and fields by clicking the hide icon  beside the required entity. To restore a hidden entity, click the show icon .
• After customizing the layout, click Save to apply changes.
• To restore the default layout, click Reset to Default.

Allow Technicians to Personalize Layouts  

Admins can allow technicians to personalize their request details page layout.

To do this,

• Go to the Technicians Layout card.
• Select Allow technicians to edit their layout. By default, this option is selected. 

Personalize Layout by Technicians

Technicians can personalize their layout from the request details page.

• On the request details page, click the Layouts icon .
• Click My Layout to personalize the layout.
• Click Save to apply changes.
• To edit the layout, click > Edit My Layout.
• Click Reset to Default to apply the layout customized by SDAdmins.
