The Assets module allows you to add, view, and manage your organization's assets. To access the assets module, go to More
> Assets.

Add physical assets by scanning barcodes, QR codes, or RFID tags.
To add new assets,
Tap Add Asset.
Choose a scanning option: Barcode or QR Code or RFID.
Barcode or QR code: Go to the required tab and scan the barcode or QR code on your assets using the mobile/tablet's camera.
RFID tags: Go to the RFID tab on the scan page.
Enable Bluetooth.
Select your RFID reader from the list.
Tap Connect to establish connection between the application and the RFID reader via Bluetooth. It will fetch the RFID tags. Currently, we support the RFD8500 Handheld reader. For more information on accessing and disconnecting the RFID reader, click here.
After scanning the required assets, tap
.
The scanned assets will be listed.
Tap the required asset and fill in the Add Assets form.

. The asset will get added.

The Add Asset Status screen shows both added assets and failed assets under Added Assets and Failed Assets, respectively.


Perform various actions such as modifying state or product, assigning site or department, etc on physical assets by scanning their barcodes or QR codes or RFID tags.
To manage an asset,
Go to Assets.
Tap Manage Asset.
Choose a scanning option: Barcode or QR Code or RFID.
Scan the barcode or QR code or RFID on your assets using the mobile/tablet's camera.
Tap
after scanning the required assets.

If the records of scanned assets already exist, they will be listed under Available Assets. To modify available assets,
Select required assets using the tap-and-hold action and tap Options
.
Choose an action to be performed on the assets: Modify Department, Modify Site, Modify State, Modify Product, or Reconcile.
Provide required details and confirm the chosen action.

If the records of scanned assets do not exist, they will be listed under Unavailable Assets. Follow the steps below to add these assets to ServiceDesk Plus Cloud:
Tap Add
beside your preferred asset
Fill out the details in the Add Asset form.
Finally, tap ![]()

The Assets module allows you to view or edit all types of assets and asset components. You can raise new requests on assets or view existing requests raised for assets. To access the asset list view, go to More
> Assets > All Assets.

To filter assets in the list view,
Tap the filer drop-down in the top-left.
Select a filtering option: Assets, Components, or All Assets.
Choose a sub-category.

You can search assets based on barcode, name, product type, product, state, and site from the list view.
To search for assets,
Tap Search
.
Set the search filter by tapping Filter
and choosing your preferred field.
Enter a search term in the search box to fetch results.

To view asset details, tap your preferred asset card. The Asset Details screen displays the following information:
Details: Shows complete asset details.
Hardware: Shows hardware-related information of the asset if it is a hardware asset.
Software: Shows information of software assets installed on the machine (This tab is available only for Workstations and Servers).
Requests: Lists all requests raised for the asset.

To modify asset details, tap Edit
, make necessary changes, and tap
.

You can raise a request for an asset directly from the asset details screen.
On the asset details screen, tap Add Request
on the top of the screen.
Alternatively, tap Request at the bottom of the screen.
Select a template type: Incident templates or Service category.
Choose your preferred template.
Fill out the request form and tap
.

You can modify assets by performing various actions on them.
Select your preferred assets in the list view using the tap-and-hold action.
Tap Options
.
Choose your action: Modify Department, Modify Site, Modify State, Modify product, or Reconcile.
Provide required details and confirm the action.

History records the asset state and all actions performed on the asset. To view asset history, go to the asset details screen and tap History at the bottom of the screen.

You can access the RFID reader settings and configure things such as the auto reconnect, batch mode, beeper, and more.
To access the RFID reader settings, pause the active reader.
Tap the Settings icon.
Modify the settings and click Done.

To disconnect the active RFID reader, tap Disconnect
against the reader.
