Discover networks part of your organization and scan them at regular intervals using Network Scan. Apart from scanning various operating systems like Windows, Linux, MAC, Solaris, and AIX workstations, network scan also allows you to scan SNMP devices and VMware [ESX/ESXi] & Hyper-V machines.
Go to Setup
>> Probes & Discovery >> Network Scan.
Entire Network: This option can be selected if you want to add a network scan For example, 192.168.27.0, which uniquely identifies the network address.
Network Range: This option can be selected if you want to add a network scan with a network range by mentioning the From and To values of the network range. For example: From 192.168.27.2 To 192.168.27.50.
For the workstation scan to execute successfully the following things need to be true:
SSH needs to be running in the target Linux machines
For Windows workstations
The login provided for the network should have local administrative privileges
Remote Registry service must be running in the target workstations
Port 139 (File Sharing) must be open on the target workstations

Select the installed Probe in which has to access the network you are going to add.
If you want to add a new probe, click Add Probe.
Enter the Probe Name and click Add.
Provide any relevant information pertaining to the network details in the Description field.
Enter Windows/Linux/SNMP/VMware scan credential.
Enable/Disable software scan for Linux/Mac/AIX. Enable this option to scan software present in Mac or Linux machines.
Click the Save button to save the details. You can see the network address getting listed in the network view list.
To perform a network scan, click
>> Scan Network next to the particular network to discover all network in the organization. You can get the complete reports of the scan, with successful and failed workstations.
If the login names and passwords of networks have changed, then you will need to modify the network details.
To edit the network information,
Click
>> Edit Network next to the network range.
Click Save. At any point, if you wish to cancel the operation that you are performing, click Cancel.
To delete a network,
>> Delete Network beside the network address that you wish to delete. A confirmation dialog appears.Details of the last completed scan can be viewed by accessing the scan summary.
Scan Summary can be viewed from the network scan list view page. Click
>> Last Scan Summary beside the required network range.

You can also quickly view the scan summary by clicking on the
icon present in the list view as well.
