The Tasks tab contains the tasks configured in the template on which the release request is raised. Under Tasks, you can add, trigger, edit, organize, delete, and close tasks necessary for the release planning. In addition, you can sequence tasks by marking dependency between them.

To learn how to configure tasks, click here.
From the Approvals tab, you can seek approval for release requests. Approvals triggered from the associated workflow are also displayed here.
You can access approvals in all stages from Approvals on the right pane of the release details page.
Role Required: SDAdmin, SDReleaseManager, or users with edit permission to the current stage.
For a structured and faster approval process, you can create multiple approval levels and add multiple approvers to each level.

Approval Rule |
Description |
|
Anyone to Approve |
Approval is granted if one of the approvers has approved. However, for it to be rejected, all approvers must reject it. If one of the approvers takes action, no further action is required from other approvers. |
|
Everyone to Approve |
Approval is granted only if all approvers have approved; otherwise, it is considered as rejected. |
|
First Response Action |
Approval is granted based on the first approval action by any approver. |
|
Majority to Approve |
Approval is granted only if the majority of approvers agree; otherwise, it is considered as rejected. |
|
% to Approve |
Approval is granted if the specified percentage of approvers provide approval; otherwise, it gets rejected. |
To add more approvers within that stage, click Add Approvers.

Based on your permission, you can approve, reject, and delegate approvals.
To resend an approval, use the Send for Approval
icon next to it.
To approve or reject your approvals, click Take Action.

Whatever approval action you take is logged in the corresponding approval records. Approval comments are displayed under the approver's name.

Based on delegation settings, you can delegate approvals, revoke delegation, and act on approvals you have delegated.

Based on delegation settings, SDChangeManagers can delegate all approvals within their scope and revoke any delegation.

After delegation, approval status changes to Delegated, and the approval will remain pending with the delegate. To cancel the delegation, click Revoke in the delegate's approval.

After delegation, if you act on the approval before the delegate does, status in the delegate's approval changes to Action Taken by Original Approver, and the delegate cannot take any further actions.
