Release workflow defines how a release request is processed within an organization. Technicians can view the complete execution path of the workflow associated with the release request.
Click the Workflow button on the release details page or the Workflow icon on the list/template view to access the workflow execution. The Workflow icon color will change according to the workflow status.
: Indicates the release workflow is in progress.
: Indicates the release workflow is completed.
: Indicates that no release workflow is associated.
: Indicates that the release workflow is failed or stopped temporarily.
: Indicated that the release workflow is violated.
The various nodes and connectors configured in the workflow by the SDAdmin are listed in the workflow execution as the read-only view. To learn how to configure a workflow, refer to the release workflow editor page.
Role Required: Users with View Releases permission
On the workflow execution page, the workflow name is displayed on the page header along with an icon indicating the workflow execution status. The ID and title of the associated release request is displayed beneath it.
The current stage and status of the workflow is displayed on the top-right corner.


Technicians can perform the following actions on the workflow execution graph:

icon to locate the current node in execution.

Hover over a connector to view the source and target nodes.

Technicians can perform the following actions from the workflow execution header.
icon to copy the URL of the workflow. You can create URL widgets of the workflow execution graph.
icon to view a log of all transitions performed on the workflow.

Click the
icon on the header to export the workflow as PDF document.
