Let us consider a scenario where the Firewall settings will have to change. While this change is underway, you foresee a downtime of almost 12 hours, during which none of the organization users will have access to the internet. That would definitely mean some amount of business loss, though not a significant one at that. This process needs to be monitored closely by various managers, reviewers, and approvers.
Before raising a request, after a thorough assessment of what this change entails, the change template selected must be the firewall template, the change type will be significant, and the workflow will be a firewall workflow. This is not a retrospective change.
