Configure settings to manage the sandbox.

Explanation

Sandbox

Toggle to enable or disable the sandbox. When the sandbox is disabled:

  • Technicians with SDAdmins,SDSiteAdmin, and HelpdeskConfig permissions can view the sandbox configuration changes, view the changes deployed, and delete the sandbox in disabled status.

  • Sandbox will not be accessible, and user cannot perform any operations inside sandbox. Additionally, changes will not be tracked or deployed.

Import Production Users

Select users with valid email addresses to import from the production account into the sandbox for testing purposes.

  • You can import up to 100 users at a time from the production account to the sandbox.

  • Users can hold different roles in the sandbox and production account.

Explanation

Access Permission

Provide or revoke login access permissions to users in bulk. You can provide bulk access permissions for up to 50 users each time.

  • For all users created in sandbox initially and imported subsequently, login permissions will be enabled by default for SDAdmin, SDSiteAdmin, and HelpDeskConfig roles in sandbox.

  • Login permissions cannot be enabled in the sandbox for users who are not part of the organization.

  • Requesters in sandbox will be provided only login, whereas technicians will be provided login and their  roles from the production account will be copied.

Re-create Sandbox

Re-create sandbox to sync the sandbox data with the current production environment. You can re-create the sandbox once every 15 days.

  • Only admin configurations will be copied while re-creating the sandbox.

  • When you re-create sandbox, all configuration changes made in sandbox will be permanently deleted.

Delete Sandbox

Delete the sandbox permanently. All configuration changes made in the sandbox will also be permanently deleted. You can delete the sandbox 15 days after the sandbox is created/re-created.
