Enterprises today seek effective ways to enhance and streamline communication between the IT department and end users.
Service Catalog showcases the wide range of services offered by an organization's IT department to its end-users. Common day-to-day IT services include installation, relocation, internet and email access, virus protection, hardware and software provisioning, mail server access, and account management.
With a service catalog, users can easily browse through the available services, raise requests instantly, and monitor their status.
To access the service catalog configuration page,
Go to Setup > Templates & Forms > Service Category. The Service Catalog page lists the service categories available in the application.
Click a service category to open it. The service category details page displays the associated service templates, incident templates, and child service categories.
From this page, you can create child service categories (up to five levels of hierarchy) and the service templates associated with these categories.
Incident templates that have the service category selected for the Service Category field will be listed under the Incident Templates tab.
