Submit for Approval
The newly added solutions have to be approved by the concerned technician, in order to be viewed by the requesters in the self-service portal. To provide access permission to approve solutions, referConfiguring Roles.
To submit a solution for approval
- From the Solutions list view page, select Unapproved Solutions from the Filter drop-down. The list of all unapproved solutions gets displayed.
- Click the subject of the solution which you want to submit for approval.
- Alternatively, you can click on the pop-out icon to open the View Solutions page. The status is shown as Unapproved.
- Go to Actions >> Submit for Approval.
- Fill in the To address and edit the subject/description if necessary. You can add attachments, if needed.
- Click Send.

- A notification is sent to the approvers via email. Meanwhile, the status of the solution changes to Approval Pending.
