Triggers for problems allow you to automate actions when an incoming problem matches specific conditions. You can configure a trigger to create new tasks, send email or SMS notifications, execute custom functions, or webhook. Use webhook or custom functions to invoke third-party applications.
Role Required: SDAdmin
Go to Setup > Automation > Triggers and select Triggers for Problems in the drop-down.
Click New Trigger.
In the displayed form, provide a name and description for the trigger.
Choose to execute the trigger when a problem is created, edited, or deleted. By default, created is selected.
Choose when to execute the trigger: anytime, within operational hours, or outside operational hours.
The Enable Trigger checkbox is selected by default. Deselect it if you want to deactivate the trigger after configuration.
Choose whether to Apply conditions based on criteria or Apply no condition. If you select to apply conditions based on criteria, configure the criteria for problems using the drop-down lists. If you select Apply no condition, trigger gets applied to all problems irrespective of the condition.
Choose whether the trigger must be applied only for the first time or every time the criteria is met. This option will be available only if you choose to apply the trigger when the problem is edited.
