Unassigning a technician from a request
Each technician owns a request and handles it from the time assigned to the time it is closed. You can unassign a technician from a request and move it back to unassigned status.
To unassign a technician,
- Click the Requests tab in the header pane. This opens the requests list view page.
- Click the subject link of the request for which you have to assign a technician. This opens the View request page.
- Click the Assign button on top of the page and a pop-up box opens up as shown below:
- Now, select the No, just select technician from the Choose Group combo box.
- Then, select the NONE option from the Choose Technician combo box and click Assign. The request will be unassigned.
