Staleness:
Shows how long the CI has not been updated.
Staleness is calculated based on the Last Update Threshold (Days) configured in the data quality policy.
For example: If the threshold is set to 30 days and a CI has not been updated for 45 days, the CI will be considered stale for 15 days.
Click Update to manually mark a CI as up to date.
Orphan:
Indicates whether the CI has a configured relationship.
To remove orphan status, all valid relationship must be established as per the configured relationship rules.
Click View to view the configured relationship type and related CI.
Note:
Orphan policy is recalculated for a CI when a relationship is created or deleted.
Staleness and completeness are recalculated whenever a CI is added, edited, or deleted.
When a CI is copied, all three policies are recalculated.
When the CI type is modified:
All three policies (orphan, staleness, and completeness) are recalculated.
Additionally, the orphan policy is recalculated for the CIs listed in the Relationship tab.
When a CI's state is changed to an End-Of-Life state, all policy configurations are removed.
By default, a child CI type inherits its configurations from the parent. If no configuration is set in the parent, it inherits them from the super parent.
Limitations
When preferred fields (CMDB fields or CI type fields) in completeness metrics are deleted, the completeness percentage is not recalculated excluding the deleted fields.
When a policy is edited, metrics for existing CIs will not be recalculated unless the CI type is edited or the policy is executed again.
