Asset Details tab displays the asset details such as Asset Name, Tag, Bar Code, Serial No Region, Cost, Acquisition Date, and many other details are displayed.
The Relationship tab shows the assets associated with other Assets, Business Services, Users and Components.
To connect the asset to other assets,
Click Add Relationship >> Connect Assets.
Select the assets to be connected from the Asset list and click Save.
You can see the connected assets in the relationship chart under Connected >> Assets.
To connect the assets to Business Services,
Click Add Relationship >> Connect Business Services.
Select the business services such as Email, Internet Access, and so on from the list and click Save.
You can see the connected business services in the relationship chart under Connected >> Business Services.
You can either associate the asset to another asset or assign it to a user/department.
To associate the asset with another asset,
Click Add Relationship >> Assign/Associate.
Select Associate to Asset radio button.
In the Associated To drop-down, select the required asset.
Choose the Site of the asset.
Select the Retain associated asset's site as asset site checkbox if you wish to assign the asset to the associated asset's site. A confirmation message pops-up. Click Yes to proceed.
Add Comments if any and click Save.
To assign an asset to a user/department,
Click Add Relationship >> Assign/Associate.
Select Assign User and/or Department radio button.
Choose the User and/or Department from the respective drop-down lists. Choose No, just select department/user if you do not wish to choose any user/department respectively.
Choose the Site of the asset.
Select the Retain user's or department's site as asset site checkbox if you wish to assign the asset to the associated asset's site. A confirmation message pops-up. Click Yes to proceed.
Add Comments if any and click Save.
To attach a component to the asset,
Click Add Relationship >> Attach Component(s). The Attach Components window pops up.
Select the components from the given text field. You can further drill down the list of components by component type and asset state using the filters provided.
Click Save.
The History tab displays the complete history of asset ownership and the state of the components.
You will be able to view the number of requests raised for the asset on the right panel of the Asset Details page. Click the request count to view the request list.
In the request list view, click the subject to open a quick view of the request details.
You can go to the request details page by clicking
where you can send a reply to the request or forward the request to the technician.
The Contracts tab lists the contracts attached to the IT Asset along with details such as Contract Name, Vendor Name, Active From date, and Active Till date.
The Financials tab displays the costs associated with the IT Asset.
Click Add Cost to add cost to the IT Asset. The Add Cost form pops up.
Select the Cost Factor from the combo box. Eg. Service Cost. This is a mandatory field.
Specify the Cost in the default currency. This is a mandatory field.
Select the Date using the calendar icon. This is a mandatory field.
Specify the Description of the cost. Say if the cost factor is service cost you can specify important information about the service cost.
Click Save. You can see the cost added to the IT Asset shown in the Other Costs list view page.
