Viewing Task Dependency

Task dependencies help in gaining an overall insight into various requests and their associated tasks at a single glance. In order to view the task dependencies within a request, follow the given steps:

• Click the Request tab.
• Click the subject link of the request to open the Request Details page.
• Click the Tasks. The list of tasks is displayed.  
• Click Tasks Dependency in the toolbar. 
• The Task Dependency map is displayed. You can add or remove dependencies directly from this map.

• The green fill-color indicates the percentage of tasks completed. You can also view the summary of each task by hovering over it.
• To add a dependency, click and hold a parent task and drag the cursor till the child task. The dependency link will be added. The more the number of tasks, the more the number of dependencies you can configure.

• To remove a dependency, hover over a dependency link and the close icon will appear. Click the icon to delete the dependency.

• You can view the dependency map horizontally or vertically by selecting the view from the Layout dropdown located on the right top of the dependency mapping screen.
