To view workstation details,
Go to Assets >> IT >> Workstation.
Click the workstation name to view the workstations details. By default the Details tab is displayed.
Details tab displays the asset and workstation details such as Asset Name, Service Tag, OS Name, Bar Code, Serial No, etc.
Click the Hardware tab to view the complete hardware details of the workstation. The hardware tab is broadly divided into four major blocks such as Workstation Details block, Network Details, Discs and Drives , Printer Details, and Other Details.
Under the workstation block, you can view a computer system, operating system, processor, memory, and installed memory details.
Under the network block, you can view the network adapters details.
Under disks and drives block you can view the hard disks, logical drives, and physical drives details.
The printer details can be viewed under the printer details block.
Under other details block you can view the keyboard, mouse, monitor, multimedia, ports, USB controllers details.
Click the Software tab to view the software details of the workstation. This opens the software details page with the list of all installed software in the workstation. By default, the list of All Software will be displayed.
Select the corresponding filter option from the filter drop-down. There are different status levels of the software, such as Excluded, Managed, Prohibited, Freeware, Shareware, and Unidentified. You can select any of these status levels and filter the softwares listed.
Click the software title to view the software details such as the number of licensed installations, number of unlicensed installations and number of Purchased licenses.
If there are any license violations a warning message is displayed saying: License Violation. Software installations are more than purchased licenses.
The Relationships tab shows the assets associated with other Assets, Business Services, Users and Components.
You can connect a workstation with assets or business services.
To connect the workstation with another asset,
Click Add Relationship >> Connect Assets.
Select the assets to be connected from the Asset list and click Save.
You can see the connected assets in the relationship chart under Connected >> Assets.
To connect the workstation to business services,
Click Add Relationship >> Connect Business Services.
Select the business services such as Email, Internet Access, and so on from the list and click Save.
You can see the connected business services in the relationship chart under Connected >> Business Services.
You can either associate the workstation to an asset or assign it to a user/department.
To associate the workstation with an asset,
Click Add Relationship >> Assign/Associate.
Select Associate to Asset radio button.
In the Associated To drop-down, select the required asset.
Choose the Site of the workstation.
Select the Retain associated asset's site as asset site checkbox if you wish to assign the workstation to the associated asset's site. A confirmation message pops-up. Click Yes to proceed.
Add Comments if any and click Save.
To assign the workstation to a user/department,
Click Add Relationship >> Assign/Associate.
Select Assign User and/or Department radio button.
Choose the User and/or Department from the respective drop-down lists. Choose No, just select department/user if you do not wish to choose any user/department respectively.
Choose the Site of the workstation.
Select the Retain user's or department's site as asset site checkbox if you wish to assign the workstation to the associated asset's site. A confirmation message pops-up. Click Yes to proceed.
Add Comments if any and click Save.
You can attach components associated to the workstation using this option. For example, you can connect a keyboard and a mouse to a workstation.
To attach a component to the workstation,
Click Add Relationship >> Attach Component(s). The Attach Components window pops up.
Select the components from the given text field. You can further drill down the list of components by component type and asset state using the filters provided.
Click Save.
Click the History tab to view the workstation history.
The complete list of operations performed on the workstation and the State history lists the timeline of various asset states assigned to the workstation.

To view the list of associated requests, click the request count on the right panel. The list of all associated requests pops up.
Click
beside the request subject to open the request details page.
Click the Contracts tab to view the contracts attached to the workstation. This gives the complete details about the contract such as Contract Name, Vendor Name, Active from and Active To dates.
Click the Financials tab. The Costs tab lists the costs associated with the workstation.
Click Add Cost to add cost to the workstation.
Select the Cost Factor from the combo box. eg. Service Cost. This is a mandatory field.
Specify the amount in the Cost field. This is a mandatory field.
Select the Date from the calendar button.
Specify the Description of the cost. Say if the cost factor is service cost you can specify important information about the service cost.
Click Save.
