Gallery Actions

Gallery actions are preconfigured and can be easily imported on demand from the developer console of Zia into the chatbot. After importing a gallery action, you can customize the action to suit your user needs. All ServiceDesk Plus Cloud technicians can import gallery actions. A technician can modify or delete only the custom actions that the technician imported. Only the admin has complete control over all imported actions.

After the actions are imported, they will be available under the Hamburger icon inside the chatbot (Ask Zia) in ServiceDesk Plus Cloud.

Setting Up Gallery Actions

Open the developer console of Zia by clicking the link displayed on the Zia integration page.

Under ACTIONS, Click Add Action and click Choose from Gallery.

Select the required gallery action, and the action will be added to your ServiceDesk Plus Cloud chatbot.

To view/modify the action added, go to the ServiceDesk Plus Cloud tab displayed on the left pane and click ACTIONS. Choose Custom from the filter drop-down and click your action.

You can edit the action and add new params by clicking the EDIT button displayed in the upper half of the page.

You can edit the action name, questions to be invoked, params, and accessibility and define new params. You cannot, however, modify the action type or the existing param names.

To edit the script used in the action, use the EDIT CODE option from the EDIT drop-down.

After you click EDIT CODE, the following page will be displayed. Click Edit Function.

You can edit the script and instantly test the script execution by interacting with Zia in the live console on the right side of the page as captured below:

Save the changes and click DONE displayed at the top-right corner of the page.

Then, click ServiceDesk Plus Cloud displayed on the left pane and click DEPLOY TO PRODUCTION on the upper half of the page.

Only after you deploy, the action will be available to use within ServiceDesk Plus Cloud.
