Zia Widget

You can embed the Zia chatbot as a widget into your intranet sites and business websites to bring the capabilities of Zia right into your own sites. As a prerequisite for this widget, ensure that the Zia chatbot is enabled in ServiceDesk Plus Cloud.

 

Benefits of embedding Zia widget 

By embedding Zia widget in your site, users can perform the following actions without navigating to ServiceDesk Plus Cloud:

 

 

While using the Zia widget on a web browser, you can follow any of the two approaches below based on your requirements:

Approach 1: Sign in to your Zoho Accounts.

To access the full capabilities of the Zia immediately upon embedding the widget, ensure that your users stay signed-in to their Zoho Accounts from the same browser at all times. This approach will also let Zia answer interactive and dynamic questions by examining your helpdesk data and perform actions that require invoking API calls to ServiceDesk Plus Cloud.

Approach 2: Configure direct questions.

You can gain from the benefits of Zia even if you are not signed in to your Zoho Accounts always. Configure direct questions for Zia from ServiceDesk Plus. You can store direct answers in Zia for the users to benefit and access them when needed. However, you cannot perform any helpdesk-related actions.

Get Embed Code 

Head to Setup >> Zia >> Zia Widget and copy the given code under How to enable?. You can alternately ask Zia using the chat window for the embed code.

 

 

Embed Zia Widget  

When you have the widget code ready, you need to insert it right before the closing tag of your site's HTML source code.

The following instructions will guide you to insert the widget code into a test website created on Zoho Sites.

  1. Create a website on Zoho Sites go to the site builder page.

  1. Scroll down the website and click the Edit Footer button.

  1. Hover over the snippet container on the footer and click + Add Element

  1. In the Element sidebar, select the Code Snippet tool from the Others section.

  1. Provide a name to the code, add the embed script in the text box provided, and click OK.

  1. Publish your test site by using the button at the top right corner.

You can replicate the steps to embed Zia widget into your site. Note that the procedure might vary for your site depending on your website provider.

The Zia chatbot will be ready to use on your website. Sign in to ServiceDesk Plus Cloud on the same browser to access the chatbot and experience its fullest capabilities.
