Alerts

An alert is a notification generated by a monitoring tool when it detects something critical or unusual in a system. For example, an alert is triggered when a server goes down or CPU utilization hits its limit. These alerts help IT teams identify and respond to issues before they become major problems.

SDAdmin can integrate AlarmsOne with ServiceDesk Plus Cloud to pull alerts from various monitoring tools and manage them from the Alerts module. Learn how to integrate.

To pull alerts from monitoring tools, SDAdmin or AlertConfig can configure the Alerts module under Setup > Customization > Alert Management. Learn how.

Technicians with SDAdmin or AlertUser role can access the Alerts module from the navigation pane. Alerts are displayed in the module based on the admin configuration.

After the AlarmsOne integration is enabled, a new mode Alert will be added by default under Setup > Customization > Helpdesk > Mode. The mode of requests automatically created from alerts will be set to Alert. SDAdmins can edit the default mode name as needed. The mode can be deleted only if the integration is disabled.
