Work log allows you to record the time spent on a release or tasks within a release. It also allows you to calculate and record the billable hours based on the resolution time and exchange rate.
This enables admins to track the number of technicians working on a release or release tasks and each of their progress.
Role Required: SDAdmin and technicians with work log permissions.
To add a work log,
In the Add Worklog form, fill out the following details:

Enable the checkbox to include non-operational hours in the resolution time. |

Choose the required currency from the drop-down. |

Add the Cost per hour in the technician details page as per base currency. This field auto-converts the cost as per the chosen currency. |
Hover over the Icon will not be available when base currency is chosen.

Auto-calculated based on cost per hour and exchange rate. |

Other Charges |
Enter additional charges incurred (For example, new hardware), if any. |

Auto-calculated based on tech charges and other charges. |

Technician Charge Calculation
Technician's cost per hour and other charges are calculated based on the chosen currency and exchange rate.
Tech Charges = Time Taken to Resolve * Technician's Cost per Hour
Total Charge = Tech Charges + Other Charges

Go to the required release details page and click the Worklog tab on the left pane. You will find a list of work log records created for the release, along with the total billable charges.
