ServiceDesk Plus Cloud scans your network to identify the software installed on workstations and manages software licenses, license agreements, and service packs. You can access software under Assets > Software & Licenses > Software.
A software suite is a collection of related software applications. The vendor provides a single license for the software suite, which manages all the component software in a machine.
Example: Adobe suite and Microsoft Office suite.

You can add more software types under Setup > Customization > Asset Management > Software Type. Learn more.
Go to Assets > Software & Licenses > Software.
Click New and select New Software or New Software Suite.

Suite installations are workstations in which the suite licenses can be allocated.
You can identify suite installations automatically or manually by enabling the respective radio buttons.

Customize List View
Use the filter drop-down to customize the list view based on specific criteria.
The following custom views are available by default: Zero Installation Software, All Software, and Software Suite.
Frequently used filters can be marked as favorites by using
.
Pin your favorite custom views as quick links by clicking
beside Favorites.

Create Custom Filters
Apart from the default filters, you can create your own filters.
Click
on the top-left of the page.
Provide a name of the custom view.
Select the column and criteria.
SDAdmins can create a private filter by enabling Make this view as a private custom view. Users without administrator privileges can create only private views. Therefore, this option will not be available for them.
Click Apply or Save. If you click Apply, a temporary view of assets with the configured criteria will be displayed.

Column Chooser
Customize the information you want to view on the list view. You can choose up to 70 columns to view on the asset list by clicking the column chooser
icon. You can also re-order the columns using the
icon.
Search Software: Use the
icon to perform a column search on software.
Table Settings: Use Table Settings
to customize the columns displayed on the list view page. You can also sort the columns and set the number of records displayed per page.
Edit software/software suite: You cannot edit software details. However, you can modify the manufacturer, software category, and type:
Change manufacturer: Select the software/software suite and click Actions > Modify Manufacturer.
Change category: Select the software/software suite and click Actions > Modify Category.
Change software type: Select the software/software suite and click Move To. Choose the software type from the drop-down.
Delete Software: Select the required software/software suite and click Delete.
