To view the details of any change, click any change request from the Change home page.
On this page, you can assign a group and various change roles to the request, and also print the change request. Only the change approver and change owner can edit the change template only in the submission stage. You can edit the workflow throughout the change management process. Every time a new change record is created a unique change ID ( numeric) is automatically generated and assigned incrementally.
To assign the change roles, click the Assign button, and fill out the displayed form, as shown below:

You can configure the change roles under Setup
>> Customization > Change Management >> Change Roles.
The
Workflow link allows you to view the Workflow page, where you can view how the change request will be processed, export the workflow as a PDF, and check out the log viewer. To view the logs of how the workflow has been so far executed, click Log Viewer in the upper-right corner.

You can configure workflows under Setup
>> Automation >> Workflows. For more information, click here.
In the left pane of the Change Details page are listed the various change stages with the current stage highlighted in dark orange (#ff8700) As the change moves from one stage to another, the corresponding stage will be highlighted. Skipped stages will appear in red (#6d6d6d) and completed stages will appear in green(#00cc41). Besides the stages, the left pane lists conversations; activities such as tasks, reminders, work logs, and approval; and history.
Under the Stages tab are listed the change stages: Submission, Planning, CAB Evaluation, Implementation,UAT, Release, Review, and Close. These stage names can vary depending on the names the SDAdmin has configured under Setup
>> Change Management >> Stage and Status.
When you select this stage, Details, Roles, Approvals, and Status Comments related to the submission stage are displayed. Under Details, you can modify all the change-related fields, including the current stage and status of the change request, and add any related comments into the Status Comments, which will be automatically populated under the Status Comments tab, across stages.
Under Roles will be displayed the roles configured in the template you have chosen for this change request. The Approval tab will be listed here only if it is configured for this stage in the Workflow. Depending on your permissions, you can Approve or Reject the change request.
Here you can see Details, Schedule, Tasks, Associations, Approvals (if configured in the workflow) and Status Comments. In Details, you can add impact details, rollout plan, backout plan, and checklist.
Under Schedule, you can configure the start and end of release/downtime schedule. Depending upon your permission, you can edit a change in the planning stage.
To view freeze windows that match and conflict with the release/downtime schedule, click Freeze Windows. The number of conflicts is displayed near the freeze window.

The conflicting schedules are marked in red.

To view maintenance windows that match the release/downtime schedule, click Maintenance Windows.

While editing the start and end time of the release/downtime schedule, an alert is thrown if the release/downtime schedule is not within maintenance window schedule. In such a case, use Scheduler to plan conflict-free schedules.

Freeze Change
If a release/downtime schedule of a change that is in conflict with a freeze window is not rescheduled before the change enters the conflicted freeze period, the change will be frozen. During the freeze period, only SDChangeManager can edit the change's stage and status.
Under the Associations tab, you can associate requests caused by the change, requests this change initiated, and problems. Information that you add here will be auto-populated under the Associations section in the right pane.
CAB Evaluation
In this stage are listed Approvals (if configured in the workflow) and Status Comments. If a workflow is not associated with the change request, you will be able to add a CAB member and send for recommendation to other technicians.

Details, Downtime, Tasks, Approval (if configured under workflow), and Status Comments are listed under the Release stage. You can provide the start and end timings, add a description, and log the issues under the Details tab. The downtime provided during the planning stage will be listed under the Downtime tab.

Close
In the final stage of the change, you will need to select the Closure Code and add any related description. Closure code is configured under Setup >> Change Management >> Closure Code.
Any stage-related activity can be performed only if the change request is currently in that stage. If the change request crosses a stage, you will not be able to add, update, delete, or modify any aspect of that stage. For example, if a change request is currently in CAB Evaluation, you will not be able to add downtime, which can be done only in the Planning stage.
This tab lists the notifications and notes associated with this change request. On this page, you will also be able to send notifications and add notes.

Under this tab are listed Tasks, Work Logs, Reminders, and Approvals. A consolidated list of all approvals across all change stages is auto-populated under the Approvals tab.
The History tab lists all actions performed around this change requests chronologically. That is the latest action appears right in the top of the listing.
In the left pane of the Change Details page, you'll find an overview of the change request, along with details such as its ID, Status, Workflow, Template, Change Type, Change Owner, Approval Status, and its associations with the Requests that caused the change, Requests that initiated the change, Problems, and Projects.
Depending on the login permissions, the user will be able to associate projects/problems to the change request.

The Actions button on the top functions similar to the Quick Action button that allows you to perform various stage-related activities without going into the actual stage. For example, you can add a Rollout Plan without going into the Planning stage. You can also send out notifications and announcements by using this button.

Scheduler on the top-right of the change details page helps you to manage the change schedule and deploy a change without any schedule conflicts.

The scheduler displays freeze and maintenance window schedules that match/conflict with the change criteria in a calendar view. Users with edit permission can modify the change schedule in the submission stage and release schedule in the planning stage that conflicts with the freeze/maintenance window, and schedule a change properly.
To mark a maintenance window as a release schedule, hover over the maintenance window and click the
icon.
